Yes, it has been silent for some time, that doesn't mean we have done nothing. We made a small start with the ZENworker site some time ago and have had some discussions with some people within Novell on how we could get some action in the ZEN space. Well, on that part we made some progress and we will be having a ZENworks summit with the guy's from GroupWiseR, GWAVA and Novell. More info will follow or just have a look at http://www.zenworkssummit.net/

With a few ZENworks fan's we've been looking at the GroupWise user group called GroupWiseR and have been wondering why something like this didn't exist for ZENworks. We couldn't find a reason why not so we started ZENworker. :-) This website is the first we have been looking at, a place where ZENworks users can find each other. We want people to be able to post interesting news about ZENworks, maybe you've seen some interesting news in the press or maybe you've got an interesting project that you want people to know about. We hope we will be able to have a ZENworker summit at the end of this year, a two day event where ZENworks users are able to meet and where we can discuss the future of ZENworks. We hope to have more news about this in the next few weeks. |

We don't want another site with some tip's and tricks on ZENworks. There are several places where useful information is gathered, so why would we start something similar again? We do want people to exchange knowledge, but we do not believe adding another site with info would add anything so we encourage the usage of the Novell Wiki and the Novell Support Forums (as these are already driven by the external community). The Wiki is a great place where people can put their info and it's very easy to access, it's just not promoted by Novell. Due to the fact that most of the info get's stored on the static Coolsolution Pages people haven't been pointed to the Wiki. We think that promoting the use of the Wiki is something we can do from our external community page, explain people how to use the Wiki and point them to some work that has been done. |
